The student will be able to demonstrate basic elements in playing drumset & percussion instruments. These basic elements are posture, grips (match and traditional), musicality, stroking techniques, hand drum techniques, and coordination on the drumset/percussion.
-Drumset: Sight-Reading, Independence Coordination, Musical Styles/Grooves: Latin, Jazz, Gospel, Rock, Rhythm and Blues.
The student will develop skills in playing drumset percussion instruments properly, practicing daily with assigned literature and improving basic elements in performing drumset for popular music: Latin, Jazz, Gospel, Rock, and Rhythm and Blues.

The student will develop skills in playing hand percussion instruments properly, practicing daily with assigned literature and improving basic elements in performing drumset for popular music: Latin, Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Rock, and Rhythm and Blues.
